Flor lilás chorando em tarde Sábado cinzento

FLORES

Flores que colho, ou deixo,
Vosso destino é o mesmo.
Via que sigo, chegas
Não sei aonde eu chego.
Nada somos que valha,
Somo-lo mais que em vão.
Ricardo Reis
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ricardo Reis is one of the many "Poets" who co-existed in Fernando Pessoa
A translation is always difficult to make but I'll try to explain what this Poem is about.
Ricardo Reis speaks of the flowers he pics and those he doesn't. He says their fate is the same.
Then he speaks about the road he is going through that has an end and he doubts about the end of his own walk.
To conclude he says we are nothing that is really worth existing, we are less woth than that nothing.
