A flor e o Poeta

A minha história
A minha história é simples
A tua, meu Amor,
É bem mais simples ainda:
"Era uma vez uma flor.
Nasceu à beira de um Poeta..."
Vês como é simples e linda?
(O resto conto depois;
Mas tão a sós, tão de manso,
Que só escutemos os dois.) - Sebastião da Gama
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once again I'll try to give an idea of what was posted in Portuguese.
Sebastião da Gama is another well-known Portuguese author. In this short poem he speaks of a story, his story,which is very simple. The story of his sweetheart is even simpler than his. And he starts this story with the follwing words "Once upon a time a flower was born near a Poet..." and he stresses how this event was simple and beautiful. But he doesn't tell her the rest of the story he's started. He'll tell about it later, softly, so much like in a whisper that nobody else but them will be able to hear it.
