Sophia de Mello Breyner Anderson is just great as Poet.
The above poem is called "Hands" and she speculates about what hands may mean in different positions or gestures: concave for having, long for desire, fresh for abandonment, wornout for amazement, not being able to be quiet for touching and not holding.
(I don't know if this makes any sense in English as it is but the way she puts it in Portuguese is just beautiful!)
